DCCC Adds Betsy Rader to ‘Red to Blue’ Program
Addition to Battle-Tested Red to Blue Program Highlights Rader’s Strong Campaign

Novelty, OH – On Thursday, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee announced that Betsy Rader had been added to their highly competitive Red to Blue program — the latest sign that Congressman David Joyce’s re-election is in jeopardy as he faces his toughest opponent ever.

“From running a program to help abused children, to representing individuals who face employment discrimination and sexual harassment, Betsy Rader has dedicated herself to empowering people and giving those a voice who need it most,” said DCCC Chairman Ben Ray Luján. “Betsy is using her passion for helping people and desire to make her community a better place to build a strong grassroots campaign operation that will make the race for Ohio’s 14th Congressional District competitive.”

“It’s a true honor to be added to the Red to Blue program. Over the past year, I have talked with thousands of voters about what they want to see out of our next member of Congress and it’s clear that they’re ready for a change.” said Betsy Rader. “We’ve been able to run a strong campaign thanks to dedicated grassroots supporters, volunteers, and contributors who are fed up with Congressman Joyce and his failure to get things done for our district. This designation will help ensure that we’re able to keep running a strong campaign and talking with voters about important issues like lowering the costs of healthcare and prescription drugs, and getting big money out of politics.”

Red to Blue is a highly competitive and battle-tested program at the DCCC that arms top-tier candidates with organizational and fundraising support to help them continue to run strong campaigns. Additionally, the DCCC provides strategic guidance, staff resources, candidate trainings, and more. It is not an endorsement.
