Betsy Rader’s Statement on Tuesday’s Primary Election
Rader received more votes than any other Democratic challenger in Ohio

Novelty, OH – On Tuesday evening, Betsy Rader issued the following statement upon officially becoming the Democratic nominee for Congress in Ohio’s 14th district. In Tuesday’s primary election, Rader received more votes than any other Democratic congressional challenger in Ohio.

“I want to thank all of the people who voted in today’s primary election–I’m honored to be the Democratic nominee in Ohio’s 14th District. I never imagined that I would run for Congress, but it has been an incredible opportunity to meet folks from every corner of our district and hear their concerns. When I get to Congress, I look forward to being their advocate and fighting for the issues people talk with me about every day, like affordable healthcare, creating good-paying jobs in Ohio, and getting big money out of politics,” said Betsy Rader. “Voters are tired of having an absentee Congressman who just follows the money and refuses to hold a public, in-person town hall. We’re going to replace him in November.”
