Betsy Rader Outraises Incumbent Joyce in 1st Quarter of 2018
Rader’s haul closes cash on hand gap by nearly $83k

Novelty, OH – On Sunday, Betsy Rader’s campaign for Congress announced that they outraised incumbent Congressman David Joyce in the 1st quarter of 2018, bringing in $276,755 to Joyce’s $244,485. Rader’s campaign also spent less than Joyce’s campaign; $98,904 to $147,994. Betsy Rader for Congress now has $403,491.58 cash on hand (COH), cutting the COH gap by nearly $83k.

“I am so grateful for the grassroots support that our campaign has received from every corner of our district. Northeast Ohioans are ready for a change and this is another indicator that people are fed up with Congressman Joyce’s failure to lead in Congress,” said Betsy Rader. “We’ve received tremendous financial support from not only Democrats but also Republicans and Independents who are frustrated by what they’re seeing out of Washington. Our district is ready for a Congresswoman who will go fight for affordable healthcare, good-paying jobs, and getting big money out of politics.”

“This quarter’s fundraising demonstrates a clear enthusiasm gap between Betsy and Congressman Joyce. If it wasn’t for big-money contributors like Goldman Sachs, Halliburton, and Mike Pence’s Great America Committee, Congressman Joyce’s fundraising total would have fallen even further behind,” said campaign manager Brexton Isaacs. “Our supporters have worked hard to ensure that our campaign is in a strong position to win this race because they’re ready for an advocate in Washington who stands up for them, not corporate special interests.”
